Five Alive had its second club tournament for 2005 this Sunday. The tournament was scheduled for the D.O.D in south Jersey but as the 17 anglers showed up at 6 AM after a one hour plus drive, we discovered that the heavy rains washed out the access road to the lake making it impossible to get to the launch. It was decided to make the trip back to a local lake and Stone Tavern was chosen.

It was a tough day for most but some of the guys figured out how to get them to bite. Of the 17 anglers 11 caught fish with Dave Burket catching the only limit.
The day was not a nice day by any means. Air and water temps. were about 47 degrees with a stiff 15+ MPH wind out of the SW. The water was stained with some mud lines and it was cloudy with on and off rain all day.

Although t Dave had the only limit he did not win. Jason Tuttas just quietly moved around the lake landing 4 and surprising everyone at the weigh in. John Radminski finished 3rd with two fish landed in the last hour of the tournament. (Unless he was lying to everyone the first 7 hrs.) Tommy Fariello made a short guest appearance (he had to leave early) and caught lunker. Some guy was bank fishing by the ramp and Tommy threw his trap next to guy's bobber and caught the lunker. He had to leave the fish with the tournament director to be weighed in. It was worth $68.00 which just covered live well rent.
There were some concerns about the points because we had to change lakes without notice. This will be discussed and voted on at the next meeting. View full results here.

The next tournament will be at Merril Creek on April 10th.
