Baran Boys Take Home the Open on Manasquan

Five Alive would like to thank everyone for coming out to the Open on Manasquan. AlthImageough the bite was tough . The guys made it Happen with plenty of 8 fish limits hitting the scales. The Baran's lead the way with 8 fish for 16.56lbs. Big fish were key and they were able to find 3 or 4 good bites to put them over the top.They took home the $1000 First Prize for their efforts. Second went to Tim Dafick and Greg Jude with 8 fish for 15.21lbs. Rounding out the Top 3 was Dave Burket and Eddie Manjankian with 8 fish for 14.83lbs.

Lunker winner was Mike Dileo and Matt Novak with a 4.01lb Chunk

Our Next Open is on Lake Hopatcong on July 17TH.

Burket Seals the Deal on Day 2

Manasquan tightened up on day 2 ,but Dave Burket Still managed top bag for the day wImageith a 5 fish limit for 10.19lbs. His 2-day total of 23.86 lbs gave him the win and added his first Megabux title to his already impressive resume. Dave's Catch also broke the record for  most weight in a 2-day tournament. Rich Mccrone Jr stormed from behind with 5 fish for 9.78lbs  to take 2nd place and with John Carey's absence Rich  takes a commanding lead in the points race . Third place went to Randy Baran Jr who brought in another solid limit of 7.19lbs.

Randy Baran took Home lunker Honors on Day Two with a 4.51 Largemouth

Next week is the Clubs Open on Manasquan

Burket Dominates Day 1

ImageDay one is in the books and Dave Burket  is off to a big lead. He Wrapped up day one with a 5 fish limit for 13.75lbs. Second was Randy Baran Jr with a 5 fish bag for 10.29lbs.  Third place is Joe Kraft  with 10.06lbs.

Rich Mccrone Sr. took day 1 lunker honrs with a 4.83 Largemouth.

The big fish are tough to come by so the field will have there work cut out for them on Day 2

Kraft Repeats on Candlewood

For the Second straight year and the 3rd time in 4 years  Joe Kraft takes home the win Imageon Candlewood. His 12.23lb bag was anchored by a 3.84lb smallie  that also took Lunker. John Carey continues to stay hot this season . He brought in 5 smallies for 11.91lbs to take second place and remain well atop the AOY race. Rich Mccrone Sr. broke in his new boat with a third plcae finish with 5 fish weighing 11.01lbs.

Weight were a little down  as most guys reported better catches in practice , but as always Candlewood didnt dissapoint as there was plenty of fish to go around.

The points race is heating up as the club heads to its home lake for  the Megabux on Manasquan

Rich Mccrone III breaks 6 year old record with Huge bag on the Flats

ImageThats Right Rich broke the  record for biggest bag in club history with his monster 17.92lb sack on the flats.  The victory gave him his second top 3 on the season and a good leg up in the points race. Follwing behind him was Randy Baran  with a limit for 12.46lbs. Rounding out the top 3 was Randy Jr. with a 4 fish bag that went 11.87lbs.  Pat Ring  took Lunker with a 4.86lbs Chunk. John Carey once again  was able to bring a fish to the scale and maintains his lead over the rest of the pack.

Burket Nails down another Potomac Win

TImagewenty members showed up to battle the elements at the Potomac. For the second straight year  rain and wind tested the field, But this year the club was able to come through. Every member brought a fish to the scale and there were plenty of limits to go around. Getting the "right" bites was the key. Dave Burket lead the way with a 5 fish limit for 14.34lbs.  Burket's win was his third W on the potomac. Following close behind was Rany Baran with 5 fish for 14.20 lbs. Tim Dafick roundedd out the top 3 with a 14.01lbs limit. Eric Bennett took home Lunker for the 2nd straight year with a 5.10lb Bass that also qualified for the LOY pool. John Carey brought in a nice limit to keep his spot atop the leaderboard in the points race as things begin to heat up. Next  is another club favorite the Northeast River
